The Beauty Muse: Pretty and sweet, just in time for Valentine's Day!

Effortlessly beautiful, simply elegant, sophisticated yet girly, this look defines "pretty," whether you're going out for a lovely Valentine's Day dinner, or pairing it with a beautiful pink satin gown before hitting the red carpet.

Nature of Beauty's own beauty muse, Jill, picked out this look for one of our models. After going through the photos from the session, however, I realized the perfect model for this look would be Jill herself! So yesterday, I convinced her to let me recreate this look on her extraordinarily lovely face. She obliged, and the results...well, you should really see this for yourself:

Right?? Now that we have taken a moment to marvel at the amazing job I did on this one, I will share my secrets, so that you, too, can work this kind of magic on your own beautiful visage. All of the products I used are shown above in the Polyvore collage. Here is what I did with them:

Vapour Organic Beauty Instant Skin Perfector in 902, all over the face, to minimize pores and add a subtle glow to the skin, while prepping it for foundaiton.

Logona Perfect Finish Foundation 03: Applied with a foundation brush, to create a flawless, semi-matte finish.

Jane Iredale Circle/Delete 2: With a concealer brush, under the eyes, wherever there was discoloration.

rms beauty lip2cheek in promise: Applied with a sponge, on the apples of the cheeks, blending slightly toward the ear.

Zuzu Luxe Bronzer in D-32: Brushed very lightly over the cheeks, nose, and forehead.

rms beauty living luminizer: Used liberally for this look, on cheekbones above the blush, down the center of the nose, and anywhere else I wanted more glow.

rms un-powder: Everywhere, to set makeup, blend, and add a bit more glow.

Couleur Caramel eye shadows: #41 on the lids, #73 (very lightly) on the outer half of the brow bone in a sideways "v," blending down and in, #25 under the eye brows, blending down. Then, with a dampened angle brush, I also applied #25 on the inner corner of the eye, and on the entire lower lash line (very lightly as I got closer to the outer corner).

Logona Liquid Liner in Black: A very thin line on the upper lash line only, from where her lashes begin on the inner corner of the eye, to where they end, on the outer corner (i.e., wherever she had lashes, I put the liner).

Logona Brow Pencil in Blonde 01, Couleur Caramel mascara in 01, Couleur Caramel lip stick in 221, and Zuzu Luxe Lip Gloss in Cosmopolitan: Application for those, I think, are fairly self-explanatory. Just be sure to curl your lashes before applying the mascara.
