New Makeup, Just In Time For Fall!
I'm not sure about where you live, but in Minnesota, this summer meant the hottest, most humid weeks we've ever experienced. Even if wearing a full face of makeup looked good in sauna-esque conditions, who would want to wear it? September, though...well, that's a whole different story. Sure, it means winter is around the corner, but it also means primo makeup weather!
With that, we've got some amazing new makeup. Here are just a few of my favorites.
Couleur Caramel's NEW Hydracoton Foundation
I do wish the name of this foundation didn't share so many letters with the name of an oft-abused pain medication, but otherwise, there is nothing about this foundation I would change. Perfect for normal to oily skin, this lightweight-yet-full-coverage liquid foundation absorbs quickly, leaving a matte finish that lasts all day long. I also highly recommend this for makeup artists, and anyone planning on having their picture taken. The finish is similar to air brushing, but without the horrible feeling that comes with having plastic sprayed on your face.
Jane Iredale's Forever Pink Lip & Cheek Stain
Ok, I'll be honest with you: When I first tried this product, I thought for sure it couldn't be near natural enough to pass muster at The Nature of Beauty. Why? Because of what it does when it touches the lips. This multi-purpose product magically transforms into a stunning, natural pink that looks good on everyone. I've never seen anything like it. And every woman I've put it on has purchased one for the same reason. The texture is soft and moisturizing, it's neither too sticky nor too thin, and goes beautifully under or over makeup. It's also perfect on its own.
Logona's NEW Color Cosmetics
It is probably 15 years overdue, but Logona has reinvented their color line, and they nailed it. New and much more versatile shades for their lipsticks, glosses, and pencils, eye shadow trios, new mascaras and foundations, and new, sophisticated packaging to boot! They are trickling in one or two products at a time from their home in Germany, so we don't have the entire line immediately, but believe me, you will want to keep your eyes open, because this is going to be one of the best natural color collections in the U.S., I promise you.

I've heard awesome things about Dr. Hauschka's new line of translucent makeup, too. Have you tried it and/or heard anything about it?
